Dan been teaching movement as both a martial arts instructor and Alexander Technique teacher, for over 15 years. During the weekend he will be offering workshops and one-to-one bespoke sessions.

Tango History and Culture seminar with Lucas (free)

Lucas holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield, where his research explores Argentine artistic expressions of the 20th century through the perspective of Cynicism. A key focus of his thesis is tango—its rich history, culture, and significance—which he will share in this interactive seminar.

Movie Night: "AddicTango" (free)

AddicTango is a poetic documentary portraying the experience of tango dancing. Through three different personalities it explores how the combination of intense pleasure, aspiration and frustration evoke obsession with the dance.

Anita Kucserova is a documentary filmmaker from Bratislava, Slovakia, currently based in the Netherlands, where she studied cultural anthropology. She discovered her passion for documentary film in 2014 when she embarked on her fist movie.

Her second film, AddicTango, which she both directed and edited, reflects a subject close to her heart. Tango is a world she inhabits not just as a researcher but also as a devoted dancer.

Dual Role Transitions with Lucas and Melanie

This workshop is designed to explore how we move, communicate, and connect when we embrace both roles. The session invites dancers to experience fluidity—shifting perspectives, exploring transitions with clarity, and discovering new creative possibilities in their dance. It will emphasise awareness, technique, and playful curiosity, giving participants tools to navigate role changes with comfort and confidence.

Lucas and Melanie bring over 20 years of tango experience, shaped by a constant search for fresh, meaningful ways to approach the dance. Their recent journey into the dual-role universe has opened new artistic and pedagogical paths, and they now share this exploration with enthusiasm and depth. Their teaching blends technical precision with openness and experimentation, creating a space where dancers of all levels can expand their understanding of tango beyond traditional boundaries
